The gain and loss in life are not mere accident;Just mind inflexible is sages' ornament

எளிய பொருள்

கேடும் ஆக்கமும் வாழ்வில் இல்லாதவை அல்ல; ஆகையால் நெஞ்சில் நடுவுநிலைமை தவறாமல் இருத்தலே சான்றோர்க்கு அழகாகும்.

Loss and gain come not without cause; it is the ornament of the wise to preserve evenness of mind (under both).
