பழிமலைந்து எய்திய ஆக்கத்தின் சான்றோர்கழிநல் குரவே தலை.

Than store of wealth guilt-laden souls obtain,The sorest poverty of perfect soul is richer gain

எளிய பொருள்

பழியை மேற்கொண்டு இழிதொழில் செய்து பெறும் செல்வத்தை விடச் சான்றோர் வினைத்தூய்மையோடிருந்து பெறும் பொல்லாத வறுமையே சிறந்தது.

Far more excellent is the extreme poverty of the wise than wealth obtained by heaping up of sinful deeds.
